White Coat Grooming Reality
Owning a white dog means:
- Staining is visible. Tear stains, grass stains, mud, food. Every mark shows. Daily face cleaning becomes routine.
- More frequent baths. Most white dog owners bathe their dogs every 2 to 3 weeks instead of monthly. Use a dog-specific whitening shampoo.
- Sunburn risk. Light-skinned, white-coated dogs can sunburn, especially on the nose and ear tips. Pet-safe sunscreen exists.
- Your wardrobe changes. If you own a Samoyed and wear black, you'll regret it. White dog owners learn to dress in light colors.
